California Tacos and More, Omaha

This place is great, especially their signature beef Cali Taco. Unique and homemade. It's in an odd location, but worth the trip for something out of the ordinary and delicious. The bar is good for happy hour and the whole place is now smoke free.

I have been going to Cali Taco for years now and I love it. They have a great happy hour from 4-5 everyday and it is Half off all food and drinks. How can you beat that? The Tacos are Huge and very tasty. I love the chips and margeritas (they come in about 8 flavors. People are friendly and even though I dislike the location it is worth it.

Location is a drag but the taco's are some of the best in town, put one up in west O and I'd be in heaven. Haven't tried anything other than a beef taco, but after having one I will be back for sure.

it's not a chain restaurant, the portions are huge and the food is excellent! be sure to get an order of the cinnamon chips for desert - they're great!

I went down there last night after work, and was having a bad day as well, and felt like having a taco. So I went to Cali Taco. As always it was great, but the staff, the order taker more than anything, were so nice that i was glad I stopped by. Thanks you!!

I like cheap tacos and drove over the day I found out about it. It looks like a dive (which I generally like) but ends up being just blah. It has the atmosphere of a run down bar, with the same service. Both of which I can live with if the food is good. However, the food is not authentic and bland. It tastes like an even more americanized taco bell.

I love the taste of the taco shells. And the green taco sauce is really good. The red sauce is really watery. They added on an additional room last year. There are some cool historical photos displayed as well.

Oh man, you never know what you had till it's gone. My hubby and I love the food ie: the flour tacos( a signature item) and the sopaillas. Yummy. We live in Las Vegas now and we have yet to find anything like Cali-Taco. And it's Las Vegas, we got more mexican culture here then Mexico. We're so nuts about it that when friends come from Omaha to visit we make them buy tacos before they live and bring them here--I know, it's little desperate. If only I had the receipe, sigh. Only negative, it's smoking. Choke...gag...at the wrong times it can really feel like your eating a fog of second hand, plus it' effects the food.

There was a murder in this place several years ago when it was a pharmacy. Other than that, this place is great. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere.

Love the food and generous portions. I usually get it to go because they allow smoking in the restaurant.
