Upon arriving at Universal Studios to spend the day with our family from England, we were ecstatic to find Margaritaville and wanted to introduce them to a great place to eat, relax and enjoy. We left the theme park mid day specifically to have lunch there and return to the park. We were seated by a very uninterested hostess and left for 15 minutes without any service; we had to ask for a server from the hostess that seemed quite inconvenienced and it still took "Mike" a few more minutes to get to us. He was busy talking to the busboy; we did not realize the guy chatting this whole time with the busboy was supposed to be our waiter. We would have had more understanding if the place had been busy, but there were only two other tables with customers in the large restaurant and only one was "Mike's". He finally got our drink order with some error that was corrected. The food order took another half hour to receive with another misunderstanding on "Mike's" part and with no offer to correct. THE FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, BUT THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. This "Mike" did not check on us upon receiving our food or any other time - we had to hail him from his time chatting with the busboy. We needed drink refills, a condiment and extra napkins, etc. You get our point. It was a bit embarrassing to be excited to brag about Margaritaville and that it was a must to have lunch there - thank goodness the food stood up to the standards. "Mike" obviously does not have customer service on his agenda. We will think twice about offering our praises for Margaritaville - actually we will probably not go back. This is unfortunate that this has happened as we have a new Cheeseburger In Paradise within a 30 minute drive from where we live which we will be reluctant to visit because of this past experience. The rating for the food was a four star at least, but there are no stars for the service (hostess, busboy, and waiter. The music was good.
