We have to remember that Hallmark is closed to visitors on Mondays. But the store built within the plaza makes up for lack of tour during the holiday season! My children loved the cafe, and the miniture train! Thankfully, there was iceskating outside, and a fun kids place was open just a few doors down! They really enjoyed this plaza overall!
We visited family and checked out points of interest. I am glad we took the tour and really appreciate the quality and care put into making Hallmark cards. I remenised on some of the ornaments I pointed to and said Yeah! I have that one It was fun looking at the presidents christmas cards. It was a WOW moment. I was surprised to find out lavender was the most popular color card and MOTHERS DAY the best sold cards.
The printer was working a printer machine that has been there since early 1900's at printing gold embossed cards and explained about the process and manufacturing . It gave me a greater appreciatiation for MADE IN AMERICA. I came home and visited my Hallmark store looked at the quality of the cards and made a promise to my self to keep it in AMERICA by supporting Hallmark. It was well worth the time spent and there was enough interest for all the family. I have recommended to every one I talk to.
