LC's Barbecue, Kansas City

My fiancé' is working in Kansas City on a yearlong project. Over the past six months, we had been searching for the "World Famous KC BBQ." Each time, we were disappointed. We finally found it at LC's. I read about the restaurant in the May 2009 issue of Delta's Sky Magazine. The Food Network Iron Chef Cat Cora suggested that this was one of the Best BBQ joints in the country...I remind you that she only mentioned three. I thought she was nuts. I stand corrected. Cat if you’re reading this...you were right on with this one. This was the BEST BBQ I have had to date....please don't tell my Uncle Charles. I highly recommend the baked beans and the potato salad as sides. I had the short ends and they were soooo good.

We own a bbq restaurant in CT. Whenever we travel we eat at every possible bbq restaurnt. THIS is the best. The ribs are the best I've ever had, and I've been to hundreds of bbqs around the US. I wish I could have some right now. The atmosphere is exactly what a bbq joint should be.

when my wife and i first visited lc`s the place was a mess. I said i`m not eating any thing out of here.my wife ordered some ribs and when we got home it was the best ribs i ever tasted. the bomb lc

great food..... the only time I ever ate better was when L C was cookin on the ice at Melvern........man that was an experience..... L C and the Doctor made quite a team.....stop by for the best food......

Now i am a life long bbq'er , and used to be a gates fan but L.C does it right.He has by far the best bbq in town, better than gates and bryants. His sauce is superb and the smokey meat is to die for, especially the brisket and the homemade sausage.The help can be a little questionable at times, but usually an overall good experience. The fries are killer also. Please enjoy l.c's on any trip to Kansas City

Like: the food. Like: the people. Like: the down-home feel of LC's. Dislike: no beer with the 'cue. Dislike: the bathroom. Like a lot: LC himself. Burnr ends are famous for a reason. The beans are great; a lot of bits of meat in the,. The sauce is fantastic, and avauilable by the bottle.

This is the best barbeque joint in Kansas City. No need for sauce, the meat is great! If you are looking for good food and good people this is THE PLACE! Brenda Flack

i've had Q at hundreds of locations. Some of the top rated places in the country. I've had some great stuff. But this is the best. i got introduced to it by a guy who was on a Memphis championship Q team. I wanted to know where the best go to eat when they aren't running the smoker themselves. LC's does it all great. Many places have an item they do world class. These guys have no chinks in the armor. Even though i'm from Chicago, i tell KC people about it and they thank me, for years. BEST KEPT SECRET IN Q.

We stopped in on a recent trip through KC. It was lunch time and we were looking for some real KC BBQ. We ordered beef and pork sandwiches with beans and cole slaw. The food was outstanding. I have been thinking about it for the past week. The beans were out of this world with lots of meat and just the right sauce. Incredible! The sadwiches where several inches thick with delicious BBQ beef and pork. I would go out of my way to eat at LCs. This is a BBQ joint. It has the ambiance of a BBQ joint. Go there because the food is great!

One of my employees was talking about LC's and how good it was, I said to him, ok, go get us some for lunch. OOOOOOHHHHHHH what a mistake I made!!!! I can't get enough of this stuff!!! The sauce is like NO other! I could just drink the stuff it's so good! I had the burnt ends and he had a brisket sandwich and we shared. Can't wait to take my wife. AWESOME PLACE TO EAT BBQ! BEST IN KC!!!!!
