Silver Dollar City, Branson

Self-described opinion of my ten year old -- "This place is a waste of time. At first I was couldn't wait to go there, but when I got there it was nothing like on TV. I couldn't ride anything because the lines were too long and the rides looked cheap. It was just one big outdoor restaurant with cheap playgrounds. Spend your time seeing the other stuff in Branson and please avoid Silver Dollar City because it is not like the way people make you believe with neat roller coasters and pools. Also, beware, the parking lot gate costs lots money and more once your inside the "City."

Theme park-please-Country/Western show park-it's not for the young ethnic/urban groups. It's was pretty boring-only a couple of rides that were fun and the other 3 yes 3-wasn't worth the wait in line-basically don't waste your money-we're never going back!

Silver Dollar City is just another money pit now. It is not the 'cool' old stuff it used to be. It is way too much money just to get in the gate. Then all the stuff inside is double what you pay elsewhere in Branson. Save your money and see the other ton of stuff to see in Branson Area.

When my fiancee, step-sister and I decided to visit SDC we were practically kicked out of the park! As the daughter of a local business owner (who advertises for their company) I usually am able to get in for free on certain days, and my fiancee gets in free because of his job (and we can both bring 1 immediate family member). So we assumed between the two of us we would also be able to get my step-sister in as well. We called before we left to make sure it was possible. My step-sister spoke to a woman who worked there and asked her 3 times if it would be possible. She said yes it would be, but unfortunately didn't give us her name. So we drove 20 minutes to get there, spent another 20 minutes parking and getting to the park, only to be told we could not get in. We were sent to guest services and presented our pay stubs, and told them our situation. The lady was very rude about not letting us in, and practically told us we were lying about speaking with someone on the phone! We did not cuss anyone out, or "create a scene" just merely expressed our disappointment with their company. They would not let us in because me and my fiancee would need to be married and they would not let me take my step-sister in either! The best they could do is let me and my fiancee in because of our employers but my sister would've had to pay $60! So locals if you're planning on spending a day here be prepared to bring in your pay stub, marriage license, social security card, electricity bill, and no doubt a hair sample! Not only did this happen, but my fiancee's boss received an e-mail from SDC the next day stating that he "had an outburst" so he now might even lose his job over it! This is THE WORST experience I have ever had at any business. They treat their locals like dirt!

There is no diversity at this place, it's all country, country and more country. I will not go back to this place

this was my first and probably last trip to sdc. parking is terrible (unless you want to pay $20 extra) tickets are outragous and the overall entertainment value ,well lets just say i could have stayed home and watched tv. top that all off i took my cousin with us he rode on one roller coaster the kid one at that (he is 17) we had to take him to the hospital today because ever sinse he rode it he has been in pain. the doctor said he has a thoracic strain from riding the roller coaster. this is a kids ride but as it comes up the hill it is VERY jerky which is probably what cuased his injury. i personaly was bored out of my mind and was just as happy to sit with my one yeaqr old duaghter as anything else. what a waste of a lot of money.

Older, semi-handicapped people have a hard time getting on the transportation to the entrance from parking area. Too many people and the entry price is extremely overpriced.

Lines Were BAD!! FOOD STUNK!!! No FUn rides!! Shops were closed! TICKETS COSTS THRU THE ROOF!!! EEEEWW!! BATHROOMS! No I do not reccomend it! IT is ok if you are not into rides i guess! Bring food cause grease is covering theres! and in general i did not like it!

Attended the Christmas display at the Park on 12/16/06, I have been to SDC near Christmas time for several years. Usually found experience very enjoyable. This year was the exception. Crowd was unbelievable! Who can enjoy packed streets, extremely long lines, people arguing, heels stepped on, and a general aura of unhappiness. I thought this was supposed to be a pleasant Christmas experience. I fix the blame squarly on SDC's shoulders. Shame on them for allowing such obvious overcrowding. Is their no maximum safe capacity at this facility? I don't mind a company trying to make money but at what cost? This is a family enviroment, you should not have to worry about your families safety. Very dissapointed.

My family has visited the park 2-3 times/yr since 1973. We were very appalled and disappointed by our last visit in December 2005. The crouds were out of hand and the parking was Horrific. We were watching the x-mas parade when my 8yr old and I were litteraly knocked to the ground by the croud. There was no where for people to exit so they pumelled in to the parade watchers. When we left the Park we were stuck in our parking spot for 2.5 HOURS. NO movement what so ever!! When we did start to move it was very slow, we spent another 1 HOUR in line. I noticed two of the "security" personnel sitting in a golf cart watching people exit. NO ONE WAS WORKING ON THE PROBLEM.
