Stone Hill Winery
Description
A trip to this winery, which is surrounded by the rolling hills of the Ozark Mountains, is a great way to pass some time between shows. The tour will take you through the winemaking process, from the beginning stages to the bottling of the award-winning wine. This historic treasure began producing wine in 1847 and has endured time to become an internationally recognized producer of fine wines. Tours, special events and weddings are daily events at Stone Hill. See website for more.
The taste of wine is instantly irrelevant when I know that this place is not gay friendly. I will never visit and discourage you from supporting a hateful business as well.
Well, the tour was fine and the wine tasting was fun and we bought some wine to take back to the hotel and grapejuice for the kids. We found the wine at Wal-Mart and the liquor store across the street from the winery priced much cheaper.
This changed our opinion of the winery and ruined it for us--won't be back!!!
Stone Hill was wonderful--Ellenor and Ruby, my daughters, can't stop talking about how much we had! They simply loved it. We will definitely be back!! ~Linda (St. Genevieve, MO)
The staff was very helpful, and answered all questions, and were very tolerant to the children. The wines we sampled were not all that great. My only complaints: They offered all samples in the same glass, which mixed the flavors, and we were not allowed to keep the glass as done on European wine tours.
Everyone from the sales clerk at the door, our tour guide, and check out clerk were very friendly, and most importantly they were very knowledgeable about their products. The tasting was very educational and flavorful! Cheers!
There was a grop of eight of us that went to this tour. We had a blast. Bill was our tour guide and gave us so much information on the different wines and how to cook with them. I would definitely go back. We took the tour twice that weekend. Friendly!!!!!!!
This tour is free, educational and fun! Papa George gave our tour...very nice elderly man.We watched a movie and saw how wine is made and bottled. The wine tasting was alot of fun and I was able to meet some very friendly vacationers.
