Description

Located in the heart of Downtown Branson, this has become a local favorite for folks seeking a late-night dinner or just a cup of coffee and a slice of pie. The glass front looks out on the busy sidewalks of Main Street, presenting a Norman Rockwell-like scene during breakfast, lunch or dinner. Save room for dessert here, because the apple dumplings are incredible, and even better with some of the house's cinnamon ice cream; expect to pay USD3.35 for this dessert. Another house specialty is the chicken-fried steak (USD5.65), served with mashed potatoes and real country gravy. But if you are just here for a sweet stop after a show, try the blackberry cobbler.

We have been visiting Branson for years and have always heard good things about the Farmhouse we just never made it in. I am glad we finally did. It is small and always crowded but the food was everything that was advertised. We will definitely go back.

From a 'Local' - It's good ol' Branson eatin'

The Farmhouse doesn't often disappoint if you know what you are going there for. If you are looking for top notch 5 star dining, then you will be *sorely* disappointed. If you are looking for a place to sit and rest your feet while walking around the old downtown area and are looking for some country cooking then the Farmhouse is really a great place to go! As other reviews state, chicken-fried steak, opened face sam'miches, potatoes and green beans. It's basic, it's not fancy, but it's normally good food. It does get a little crowded in there - the tables are a little bunched up. But overall good value for your dollar.

Farmhouse, a MUST while in Branson

My wife and I always eat breakfast at The Farmhouse while in Branson. They serve breakfast all day, so if you like to sleep in, like we do, then you will love the Farmhouse for a late breakfast. The food has always been awesome. Actually had lunch there one day, had the country fried steak, and it was delicious!

Good down home food

Nestled in historic Old Branson, Farmhouse offers a great meal for a reasonable price. The chicken fried steak was smaller than I expected, but was very good. My wife had the fried chicken, which was a lot better than some places I've eaten that are known for their chicken. Above the restaurant is a little store that is cute and fits the stores downtown. We ate there for Sunday lunch--get there a little early! The line builds fast. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with daily lunch and dinner specials. We'll definitely visit this restaurant again the next time we're in town!

food has been good for 25 years.

I love the country type atmosphere.............the service and my most favorite thing is their ''whole'' catfish. I cannot find ''whole'' catfish any where within at leat 500 miles of Branson. i So I love going there on either Friday or Saturday nights for the all you can eat ''Whole'' catfish. I would recommend it to anyone.

Now that's good eatin'

The best meal on the trip. Real down home honest to God restaurant food. Great country fried steak and pulled pork barbeque. Cozy downtown location was packed but service was friendly, efficient and worth the wait. Top the meal with an apple dumpling. You will not find a better meal in Branson.

First, but not last visit

My wife and I ate lunch there. Even though the place was very busy we had our order taken and food delivered in a very timely fashion. My wife had the chicken fried steak anf I had the open face hot roast beef. Both meals were excellent. A very well run eatery! We will eat there again!

Never again!!

My wife and I ate there. My wife ordered the all you could eat catfish. The all you can eat consisted of one helping. It was impossible to get the waitresses attention. We will never go back and do not recommend.
