Description
Near the aquarium on Belle Isle is this aging, magnificent small conservatory. Designed by famed architect Albert Kahn, the conservatory has permanent displays of many rare flora, including one of the world's largest collections of orchids. Kids and adults alike will enjoy exotic species such as cacti and banana trees. Outside the conservatory are beautiful formal gardens often used to host summer weddings. Visitors should call in advance to arrange a viewing.
