African World Festival is one of the largest educational programs in Detroit. It is also the largest ethnic festival in Detroit and family oriented too. What a way to end the summer! The Ford Jazz Festival continues to be a great way to congregate among music lovers. Great jazz, many styles, big names, local artists and all very nice audiences.
The nights are the best. The fountain flows, the Detroit River sparkles while the cool sounds of jazz float through the air. People on lawn chairs, people on blankets by the river's edge - fantastic!!
This Festival is a Detroit tradition that you should be able to say you've been there. Once you go, it will be hard to avoid every year - you'll come back!
