Description
Columnist William Safire says this old book warehouse is the top tourist attraction in Detroit. To bibliophiles, it is a must stop. On four floors of the old Advance Glove warehouse are close to a million titles, ranging from the popular to the obscure, covering all kinds of subjects. It's a treasure trove for book lovers, who can spend many happy hours wandering the aisles. Owner King moved here in 1983 after outgrowing his first location. He has published about 90 rare book catalogues and handled the papers of celebrities, sports stars and numerous auto magnates. There are two smaller King locations, one at Wayne State University and one in Ferndale.
