Twelve Oaks Mall
Almost single-handedly, the construction of Twelve Oaks Mall turned Novi from a sleepy village into a booming suburb. Ideally situated to provide freeway access to both the newer northern and western suburbs of Detroit, Novi is in the center of explosive upscale growth. The malls large, eclectic selection of mid- to upper-mid-range retailers perfectly suit consumers in the area, and the result is one of the United States most productive retail properties. Around the mall has sprung up the usual collection of ancillary stores, restaurants and bars, and even eight-lane highways often can't cope with the sheer volume of attendant traffic.
Extremely rude and poor customer service, and horrible experience. The guy at the counter rudely told us not to come back to them again because we usually request them to put ingredients into separate containers for our daughter who enjoys creating her own tacos. He called our request " A favor that he does not have to do for an order of only $5". All the other Taco Bell restaurants have accommodated our requests but when we told him so he said that he owns this franchise and he can do whatever he wants to do. Obviously, we will never go back to this place ever again and never recommend this place to anyone in the entire world.
We went to Twelve Oaks to see Santa, as they always have the greatest display. We were in line for about 5 minutes when they put the rope up right in front of us and said us and everyone behind us (3 other families) had to leave and return 2.5 hours later to see Santa. We left with 4 kids in tears. Why they couldn't have put a sign up behind the last 4 families is beyond me. They were callous and rude during what is supposed to be a magical time of year for children. I'll never shop there again.
Love the layout and the ability to park in an area where I feel safe. Food court is nice and there are lots of seats. Kid problem not too bad, mostly just looking for other kids to show off. "Walkers" seem welcomed by mall and appear to be happy. Nice place in the winter. Other malls in the area are not enclosed. That seems stupid to me in a state like Michigan.
I was getting a stroller for my son and when the lady told me that it would be $1, I was surprised and said "Wow, that is cheap" she rudely informed me that I should not say "Cheap" in that mall. Why not? It was, most malls charge more for the strollers. Then she decided to yell at my daughter who was just going around her grandma in cirlces with the stroller. She was not bothering anyone or running into anything. I was very upset with all this and went in and got what I needed and did not bother looking around at anything else.
