Nantucket Island Tours, Nantucket

My family and I recently visited the Island of Nantucket. Not knowing better I reserved a private tour with a company called NANTUCKET RED TOURS WHICH WAS A NO SHOW! The tour guide MR. ED WAS UNFRIENDLY, ABRUPT AND CHANGED THE TERMS OF THE TOUR A DAY BEFORE, after having booked the tour months earlier. Thank Goodness we found Nantucket Island Tours and Pete our tour guide who was wonderful and truly saved the day and made us glad that NANTUCKET RED TOURS AND MR. ED WAS A NO SHOW. STAY AWAY FROM NANTUCKET RED TOURS AND DEFINITELY GO WITH NANTUCKET ISLAND TOURS. I highly recommend them!

The value for this trip was very good we got our whole family a wonderful over view of the island in a little over an hour and a little bit of nothing.

We have used Nantucket Island Tours before and they have been great. The tour guides have been wonderful- very knowledgeable and accomodating. This time, though, was quite the opposite experience. Our tour guide's name was Dennis. Half way through the tour I started calling him Dennis the Menace. He was downright rude. He flew right past some of the main historical sites without even saying a word. When he did let us out of the bus to take pictures, he tried to get us right back in again. I felt like he was herding cattle! It soon became apparent that he was just trying to get us back to the dock before the next ferry came in so he could fill up his bus again. Try Barretts Tours or one of the smaller vans next time, I've since "herd" they are much more intimate and flexible.
