Young's Bicycle Shop, located at Steamboat Wharf, is a Nantucket institution. Harvey Young now sells, services and rents bicycles to residents and tourists just as his grandfather did when he started the business in 1931. A variety of bikes suitable for exploring the Island's bike paths or dirt roads are available. Most bikes rent for around $25 per day, although tandem bikes and full-suspension mountain bikes rent for slightly more. Weekly rates are also available.

The Best On Nantucket
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/26/06
Everything about Young's is top notch! This is why they have been around for three generations. Excellent service, quality and prices! The sales/rental staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The owner himself even came out to greet and make sure we were taken care of. I would not shop or rent anywhere else on Nantucket! 5 stars and highly recommended!!

Very Helpful
By Bill, 11/14/05
The staff was very helpful, the bikes were reliable, and the free mapskept us from getting lost. We use Young's every time we visit the island and will continue to stop there first every time in the future. ~ Boy Scouts from Tisquantum Lodge

Amazing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/04/05
Young's Bike Shop is the place to go. The atmosphere was so welcoming and the people there are so willing to help and really know what they are talking about. They have amazing products that look brand new everytime I go there. And when ever you have a problem which isn't too likely all you have to do is call and they send out their truck with a new bike. The most amazing part is everything is still done the old fashion way and even though filling out paper work isn't too fun. They get you in and out of there in a matter of minutes on awesome bikes.

dont go to youngs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/05
one day me and my friend went for a bike ride into town. when we got there we realized his tire was getting flat. all he had was 5 dollars. we asked youngs how much a tube was and they said 5 dollars. when we went to the counter she said $5.25 and we said is 5 ok and she said no so i said hang on let me try and find a quarter on the sidewalk. and nantucket bike shop said that they would pay the tax and put the tire on. that is why you should go to nantucket bikeshop instead.
