Race Point Beach
Provincetown was recently listed as the sixth best beach location in the United States, and dramatic Race Point may be one reason why. Here the Cape Cod Bay waters meet wild Atlantic Ocean waves to create a roiling surge called "The Race." Not always safe for small boats, it's probably no accident that this beach contains the Race Point Lifesaving Museum. But it is well guarded in season, has a bath house, and is an overall good location for sunning and swimming. It can also be quite windy here, adding to the feeling that you are facing the elemental ocean at the end of the world.
Wonderful place to take your Lovie! Clean beach and magnificent sunsets! If dealing with crouds are not part of your vacation, Race Point and the surrounding areas should top your list of 'must-visit.'
this beach is one of the most fun spots I have ever bin. But haches harbor at race point is the best drive out spot there there is a big river and at sun set you can see all the fish jumping out of the water.
I love this beach. Very natural. My dog is part of my family and I always clean up after him. Shame on those who do not practice common decency. However, plenty of people do not clean up after there kids, should we leave them home or have them stay with friends or relatives? This beach is welcome to all two and four legged creatures. You can't blame dogs for their irresponsible
Relaxed atmosphere, quaint, scenic, and a great beach. ( I like collecting small smooth pebbles at the waters edge. I am a regular beach bunny and literaly spend hours at the beach. Wonderful vacation area. There is one tsk, tsk, that I must add, and that is I wish pet owners would leave their dogs with friends, relatives, or at a pet care center. ( I particularly dont relish seeing dog poop on the beach.)
You'll love the beach of course. All the sand dunes in this area. Watching the 4x4's driving cautiously to the tide line to throw out their fishing lines. You feel like you are at the end of the world.
