Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory Tour, Hyannis

We anticipated a great tour but were left with disappointment, As an elementary teacher for many years, this has got to be the worst tour that I have taken. You enter a narrow hall with high windows that the children can hardly see over. The best , we as adults could see, were two small conveyor belts dumping chips on to another conveyor belt and a man.off in the distance, stirring some chips in oil The tour felt more like we were just being directed to the gift shop at the end of the hall At the beginning of our tour we were told that we shouldn't take pictures. Well they were right because there was nothing to take pictures of in the plant. If you've been to such places as the Ben and Jerry's plant in VT , you will find this a hugh disappointment My advice: SKIP IT !

The tour is self guided, they give free samples at the end of the tour and we bought a lot of chips in the gift shop. The tour is free. Get directions from mapquest, we wasted a few hours trying to find the place.

What a let down !!! Self guided tour with a lousy view! I have seen more about making potatoe chips in the grocery store than here. Do yourself a favor....stay at the beach,keep driving by or go putt putting!

I went with my mother and good friend, we left with several cases of potato chips! It was so neat being able to see how the chips were made, and then to be able to purchase cases and cases of chips was the best part! We also bought shirts and other souvenirs from the shop. The people were nice and the chips are the best! I'll be back!
