Description

This pretty Roman Catholic church was the summer parish of the Kennedy family. John F. Kennedy and his brothers were altar boys here and a plaque marks the pew of the former president. Joseph and Rose Kennedy donated the carving over the altar in memory of Joe Jr's tragic death during World War II. It has been the site of family celebrations, too; Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger were married here. See website for complete visitor details.

Worst priest experience EVER

A priest was verbally abusive, demeaning and rude during a phone call made seeking information on adult education classes for converts - due to candidates being divorced and re-married in prior Protestant life. We, a married couple, were attending St. Francis Xavier, giving very generously on Sundays (my husband is a public figure and very successful business man). Because of this experience we have made the decision not to go back to St. Francis Xavier again. If you are interested in a good Catholic conversion experience - look elsewhere.

unbelievable!

I have lived on Cape Cod for quite a while and whenever I travel, I think that there is really no other parish that can top how warm you feel from visiting. One of my favorite are the beautiful stained glass windows in the church that contain pictures of the Lord, Mary, and saints that can almost tell a story while glancing at them.
