Swan Boats of Boston, Boston

The Swan boats were a good time. Well worth the $2.75 admission and the time it takes the guy to pedal once around the pond. It was a beautiful day and I would recommend this to everyone as an excellent way to relax on vacation!

What a delightful, charming & sweet little trip. It's a throwback to another age, before video games. Children will love to look for water fowl & turtles, adults will enjoy the beautiful park & then everyone can go to the Make Way for Ducklings sculpture!

I love the Swan Boats of Boston Common. I believe that nothing was finer than a day with the family walking through the Boston Commons and finally get to the Swan Boats. I have strong memories of visiting the Swan Boats as a small child holding my mom's hand as my British grandmother and aunt and cousin all explained the history of New England and England. I feel like a touch the past and present and just maybe the soul of Boston when sitting on the water in a Swan Boat.

You'll find many special places in Boston - it's one of the most fascinating cities in the U.S. in our opinion because of the charm of finding a tiny, ancient spot full of American history right around the corner from the most modern shops - it never fails to delight and surprise. For us, one of the most delightful things about this truly unique and most American of cities can be found in Boston Common, the huge park (by the way, parking can usually be found right under the Common!) in the middle of the city. They're simple, they're economical ($1.00 last time we visited), and they're a treat for the whole family - they're the Swan Boats - simple little paddle boats that transform the excitement and bustle of the city into a quiet ride on the water that will relax and refresh you and make you see this town with different eyes - all while entertaining the youngest to the oldest and providing a sense of true peacefulness - just a few minutes will rest and restore you and your family. They're a little bit goofy. They're completely charming. And whatever your age or mood or general disposition, you'll always remember - and you'll always return.
