Faneuil Hall Market Place

Description

There are more than 100 places to eat, shop and drink at Faneuil Hall Marketplace also known as Quincy Market. French merchant Peter Faneuil gave the hall that precedes the marketplace to his adopted home of Boston in 1742. It has been called the "Cradle of Liberty" because of the number of revolutionaries and abolitionists who delivered important speeches here. The hall is now a tourist center, but public meeting facilities are still available.

Ever in Boston ? You must make a stop here!
By ,
Faneuil Hall has it all !! Shopping, Eating, and History ! What more do ya need? It's a cool place to go in Boston esp. if you are riding the (T) because the (T) lets you off right under the courthouse and as you walk out of the (T) station you are right in the middle of The Boston Massacare site and the ride of Paul Revere! So don't be surprized if you see people in period clothing all around! The Marketplace is overly crowded so that is one downfall but not enough to keep me away! I really go there to get me the Lobster Bisque made by The Clam Chowda place in Food area in the middle of the Marketplace! I try to stop in every trip to Boston !

Oh yeah!

If you're in Boston and looking for a place to eat... Faneuil Hall is the place to go! They have a wide range of any types of food that you could ever want.. as for seating -- if you don't stop to eat at a normal meal time (noon - 1) then you're pretty apt to find a seat! If you have a group of people that all like to eat different things then I totally recommend this place! :)

This whole area is great in each season. We love to walk around there and go get some great food in that area and look at the street performers.

food

Faneuil Hall is best for the food-- the Monkey Bar has the best smoothies in Boston, and there is an excellent selection of pizza, Mexican food, Asian food, and burgers. It can difficult to choose. Quincy Mkt nearby has great shopping.

Great food, great atmosphere!
By ,
Really a fun place to take in more sights, sounds, and tastes than most people can even register. The food here is awesome, and there is so much variety that you could almost eat here every day and never be bored. I make the trip almost every time I'm in the city, and I never regret it.

Great!
By ,
I love the atmosphere this place gives. For all the people out there that haven't been to the east coast, this is a great place to go to feel what it is all about. The food in Quincy Market is quality food for a good price, and it gives you a taste of all the different cultures. Just being around this area, you can feel the history of the place, from the cobble roads, to Faneuil Hall. Great for any tourist.
