Bob Slate Stationer
This is a wild world of pens, paper, envelopes, office supplies and more. Browse the pen aisle, testing each and every one of them on the convenient pads of paper. Trying all the colors and styles of pens is almost as interesting as simply reading what other folks write as test words. The paper selection is amazing and you'll find some great invitations, refills for your organizers and envelopes. Additional locations are at 63 Church Street in Harvard Square and 1975 Massachusetts Avenue in Porter Square.

I am a stationery freak; I love the stuff. Paper, notebooks, pens, pencils, storage, index cards, you name it. Shopping at Bob Slate is the best stationery-store experience I've ever had outside of Japan. That's not the store's fault; Japan has lots of cool stationery things they don't export. If they do export it, though, Slate will have it.
If you like stationery products, even if you're not as passionate as I am, you will enjoy yourself simply browsing. If you're a student and need notebooks for classes, they have good-quality ones for the same price as cheap ones. If you do research, you'll find lots of products to help you organize information. If you need plain old office supplies, or high-quality portfolios, and especially pens, pencils, markers and any kind of paper products, you'll find exactly what you want there. I went there regularly from 1988 until 1996, and go back every time I'm in town. Its quality and selection have always been the best.
Bob Slate's is the one thing I miss most about Cambridge, and I miss quite a lot.
A rare shop-any stationery item you have ever wanted or haven't been able to find is here. Art supplies, gift wrap, fine stationery, office supplies, cool notebooks and pens. it is always a greta experience with a great staff. Why would any ever want to miss going to this shop?
A wonderful store for stationery supplies, including notebooks, pens and filing supplies. Many products for that dying breed: letter writers. I love to go there and just poke around all of the wonderfully stocked shelves, but I always buy something. Also, great sales help and supplies for fountain pen lovers.
I haven't lived in Boston for 6 years but I still have my Bob Slate Mt.Tom 6 x 4 notepads. You won't find a little notepad as sturdily built as these anywhere else. Great for poets, artists, and aspiring screenwriters like myself. Friendly service and an amazing array of items stuffed into a quaint little store.
