It almost seems as if someone stopped by every flea market and yard sale across America and then hauled the merchandise back to this curious little shop. Most of the items are from the 1940s through the 1970s, including a variety of kitchen goods and dinnerware. Furniture and an amazing range of vintage radios in the rear of the store round out a very interesting stop for anyone interested in a slice of yesteryear.
Visiting Abodeon was one of my favorite experiences shopping during a visit to Boston. I found wonderful and funky gifts for friends, and couldn't resist some for myself. The owner was very helpful and delightful to talk to. When I visit Boston again, I will happily return.
ABODEON is an independent gem among the mundane chain stores that litter Boston streets. The owner was very helpful when I bought a 60's lamp and he spent ten minutes answering my questions and telling me all about the design. They have vintage and contemporary interior design.
