McIntyre and Moore Booksellers
This store specializes in academic books, but not textbooks. The stores does sell fiction and other general titles, but you will leave the store happiest if you are looking for sociology, philosophy, history or other scholarly books. Liberal arts students and lifelong learners can save a ton of money here, and you can count on size mattering—you will get 10 percent off a foot-tall stack of books, 15 percent off two feet and 20 percent off three feet.
A bookstore that does specialize in more academic press books, although there is a smaller collection of fiction and poetry, this is a place one could browse for hours. The prices are competitive; many of the books are about half the publishing price, and almost all are in excellent condition. Specialties include literary theory/criticism, which is catalogued by individual authors (i.e. Dickens), and theorists (i..e Bakhtin). The books withhin categories are alphabatized which makes this an easy store to navigate, especially if there is a specific title one wants and one knows the author/title. An amazing place to go!
