Description
Though the name Newbury Comics says comics, this New England retailer on Newbury Street is first and foremost a purveyor of low-priced CDs and other music-related goodies. A throwback to the 1960s record store, Newbury has records, CDs, cassettes and DVDs, in addition to a wide array of T-shirts, buttons and posters with rock or movie themes. Newbury Comics even sells lava lamps. Founded in the 1970s by two MIT roommates, there are now over 20 stores in the region.
