Likely one of the North End's most famous bakeries, this neighborhood institution has been baking Italian and American pastries since 1946. You will always find a crowd eager to try one of the fifteen different types of Cannoli. They also create outstanding ice cream takes, and can throw together a giant sheet cake on short notice. Open late and offering coffee and espresso, this is a great place to stop in for a snack.
After 8 years of visitng Mike's on a weekly basis I will not return. I am tired of the rude staff and the total chaos that is present on a busy day. I have found what North Enders have been saying for years. The staff is rude and they don't care if you are a regular or if you are a one timer. They are rude to everyone. They charge whatever they want since there are no posted prices. No one tries to make it an orderly process but the staff is happy to yell at people when they are stressed. It isn't even considered the best bakery in the North End. Thanks but no thanks.
I just came back from Boston and a visit to Mike's Pastries and I'm already CRAVING more cannoli's. These are the BEST cannoli's I've ever had. They have a huge selection of cannoli's, cookies, cakes, and other pastries, but my eyes didn't make it past the selectin of cannoli's. I was even offered money on the T back to my hotel for my box of Mike's cannoli's. If you haven't been, you must put it on your list. Skip desert and head to Mike's instead. I'm placing an order online as we speak!
I just went there yesterday, OMG, their canoli it's really good, I should buy more, can't wait to go back. cheese cake nice too. when I took T, some one who love to eat Mike's pastry also recommend their cookies and lobster tail(fill with cream)
The best Chocolate fudge cake.We were waiting in line for almost 15 min,but it was worth it.Pistachio macaroos are very good too.And oreo gelato was delicious!!The guy who waited on us was very friendly and funny.

The crowds were unbelievable, friendly and helpful. Iam from the midwest and found this to be a real find.
