Mike's Pastry, Boston

A FRIEND TOOK US TO MIKE'S. STATED HOW GREAT THE CANILONI'S AND THE LOBSTER WHERE. WELL THEY WERE RIGHT. WE ATE THE CHOCOLATE CANOLONI AND IT JUST MELTED IN MY MOUTH. THE LOBSTER WAS FOR LATER AND WAS ALSO EXCELENT...UNFORTUNATELY DIRECTIONS FROM BOSTONIANS IS NOT VERY GOOD. WE COULD NOT FIND OUR WAY BACK THE NEXT DAY BEFORE WE LEFT. OUR MOUTHS ARE STILL WATERING FOR MORE. LINDA MEDLIN MODESTO CALIF.

Not to be wise...but if you have been to Mike's Pastry and actually bought anything that is taken from the shop in a box, they have their website written all over it!

The staff is impolite. I'm switching to Modern Pastry. It's gotten much better reviews - I've already tried the cannolis and they are ten times better than Mike's!

After 8 years of visitng Mike's on a weekly basis I will not return. I am tired of the rude staff and the total chaos that is present on a busy day. I have found what North Enders have been saying for years. The staff is rude and they don't care if you are a regular or if you are a one timer. They are rude to everyone. They charge whatever they want since there are no posted prices. No one tries to make it an orderly process but the staff is happy to yell at people when they are stressed. It isn't even considered the best bakery in the North End. Thanks but no thanks.

i love going to Mikes every time I visit Boston. I love the canoli and the eclairs are just to die for!! I have never had a bad experience at Mike's I wish there was a Mike's in Chicago!!!

I love Mike's. I live in South Eastern MA, but everytime i go to boston i alsways get the cheese pies. Very easy to find but sometimes packed. They should make more across boston. I love the taste of italy, it's were you can catch me. Everytime i go there i alwasy run into a family member, fun huh.

I had my first canoli here. My parents and my brother's 100% Italian in-laws rave about the place. I was quite impress. It is just a quarter block off of the Freedom Trail. It is busy but worth it. If you can find a table, you get waited on 10x faster than standing in line.

mikes has the very best stuff in town. We live down toward the cape and when we go into Boston, we always stop at Mike's and carry their things all the way home.. but let me tell you it is worth the trouble. They have the best lobster tails, canoli's and cookies and cakes.. We have never tried anything at Mike's that wasn't awesome.. Everything is always very fresh.. We love it
