They really stand behind their products
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/28/10
I recently brought in a pair of their shoes that wore out after a year of hard wear. They patiently explained to me that for fine quality leather shoes, that was about average, and that less expensive shoes wear longer, but don't nurture the feet as well.I knew they were right, but because I was still a little upset, they offered me a new pair for half price which I thought was quite decent.

They do not stand behind their products
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/25/09
Not long ago, I purchased a pair of SAS shoes from Edwin Case. There was a problem with the sole of the shoe. I took it back to Edwin Case, expecting good service from a local store. I found the opposite. No replacement was offered and I was almost accused of trying to pull a fast one. I was told "we do not need customers like you." Edwin Case apparently thinks that the customer is always wrong. I will not shop there again. PS: SAS replaced the shoes.

Service and fit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/08
I had a problem, the manager I saw when I was able to make the time to go back, fitted shoes to my wife and also to me quite well. He made suggestions, how to improve the fit which are working quite nicely, thank you. I will give a five star rating to this situation. My father brought me to Edwin Case when I was quite small, (Back in the Stone Age or so my "friends" would say), in order to get the proper fit. Edwin Case has fine shoes, they should wear well.

25 years of good service and values.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/06/08
I found Edwin Case for my Mother and now many years later I'm the customer. SAS is my main shoe however I've found other great shoes there. The knowledge of the sales people in terms of fitting is something you just don't find in stores anymore. Also, they are very prompt with special orders.

Bad experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/20/08
I have been to Edwin Case shoe for over 70 years. My parents took me there. The last time I brought my wife for shoes, she is hard to fit, expecting good service. The two salesmen in the store at this time resembled new car salesmen. Making a hard sell. They insisted on putting a larger size on my wife's feet than was warrented. She had oversize shoes on her feet and needed the correct size. They didn't listen, didn't measure, insisted on one size too large. Since then she has had trouble with her shoes and is uncomfortable in them and they rub her toes because they are loose. She has been in and out of the hospital last year and this year for unrelated problems to her feet, and has been preoccupied with those problems, or we would have reported this earlier. These jokers wanted me to buy shoes I detested, an ugly design for some young unschooled person. I turned them down in spite of their efforts. If I realized the problem with my wife's shoes, they would have been turned down then and there. We like SAS shoes, but they Must Fit Properly!!! I plan on writing to headquarters, if I can find their address, about those salesmen. SAS shoes are wonderful shoes and usually professional sales people are what I experience and expect. the Best shoe store
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/19/08
I always am able to find shoes. The salespeople are extremely helpful, not pushy, always available. The shoes are ridiculously well priced and comfortable. After years of trying big name shoe stores, I have found the place I can always count on...The shoes last and last and I just go back for more when finally it is necessary. No longer do I have to worry about finding shoes that are well made, comfortable, and affordable. AND this store is NOT just for older people!!
