Set in a lovely redbrick rowhouse, this south Baltimore favorite is a great place to grab a beer and a bite. The dark wood interior is comfortable and inviting, whether you choose to sit at the long bar or in the dining room. (There're also cafe tables outside.) The restaurant offers a full, and very eclectic, menu, but appetizers and bar fare are what the kitchen does best. The satay is delicious, the crab cakes are first rate, and the Jambalaya is chock-full of shrimp, fish and other delights.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, excellant food. A charming refuge from the Inner Harbor bustle

had been there 3 earlier times and really liked the food and the people we met who were associated with or worked there. Kevin sugested that we arrange a reservation for the from window table for the evening, if we were planning to return for dinner that night. He recorded it, but when we arrived at the appointed time two occupants we at the table, obviously just seated. Had the restaurant not ignored the reservation, I would have rated it higher (5) because of the crab cakes, which were the best anywhere.

Regi's atmosphere is good but food is not sock knocking off
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/02/04
Regi's is a nice place to go and sit outside. It's on a relatively quiet street in Federal Hill and has a comfortable atmosphere. It doesn't feel like a chain. I've been twice. The first time the service was abominable, but the second time the service was good. The food is pretty good. I had a plain ol' burger the first time, and the crab soup and a salad the second time. THe crab soup was too oily and the salad is mostly lettuce. But it was good enough quality.
