Cat's Meow is the largest and most consistently crowded Karaoke bar in New Orleans. There is a line at the door at all hours, and standing room is always tight. The interior to the club features a large dance floor surrounded by an elevated stage and several elevated bars. There is usually about a 45-minute wait to get on stage to sing one of more than 1000 songs in front of the crowd. The upstairs features a balcony overlooking Bourbon Street. It is open from Monday to Thursday 8p onwards and on Friday till Sunday the timing is 3p.

Right after Gustov blew through the place was Kicking on football weekend! Missy and the KJ's were awesome and she is a phenominal entertainer and Duet partner! Tom from Columbus Ohio

Mac Attack
By Buddy B, 10/11/07
What makes Cat's so much fun is that ordinary people are encouraged to sing. But the best part is that it's peppered with professional entertainers...singing...dancing and generally making sure that everyone has a good time. My friends and I go regularly and are never disappointed. It's a great atmosphere and I gotta tell the girls...no matter what age to say "howdy" to Mac.

Most fun I've had in years!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/24/07
My sister and I went to Car's Meow in early August 2007. It was an absolute blast! All ages, all singing abilities, friendly, nice crowd, all overlooked by a smiling police officer. I sang "Me and Bobbie MgGee" and they clapped so much I felt like a rock star. My sister and I did "Twist and Shout", and everyone went nuts. Oh, by the way......we're in our fifties! Don't miss Cat's Meow.

The MOST fun!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/14/07
I've been there several times, and, it's always bee so much fun. There's always the most entertaining, (and funny) people who either can, or, can't sing, but, either way, have the guts to get up there and become part of the fun for the night. Actually, no one can really hear them much because the audience is usually singing right along, which pretty much drowns out the person on stage...this is a MUST if you ever get to New Orleans...my personal favorite city in the world..

We had the best time ever!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/15/05
A group of my friends went to New Orleans over Saint Patricks day and let me tell you it was the best experience of all of our lives. We had a great time. I would recommend this bar to anyone and everyone. You played a wide variety of music for all ages and your staff was wonderful. I also want to mention that your performers(MC'S) were great. They really knew how to keep the crowd going. We were in New Orleans for a week and we did not miss your bar one night. All of us girls were between the ages of 21-45 and we all enjoyed spending time at cats meow. We had a blast, and can't wait to return next year. Keep up the good work.

High notes in the "Big Easy"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/25/05
We traveled to New Orlean's with some good friends and this was one of our first stops. We had a great time dancing, singing, and cheering others on. We will never forget the experience... though I am sure that some who heard me sing "Purple Rain" with my friend "Silent Bob" will wish they could. It's my girls favorite song though, and she thinks "I'm the man" now for doing my best! Check it out, It's a must do on Bourbon Steet!

Get drunk... and married
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/03/04
I met my wife here.... really! She is an attorney, and very nice to boot! You would think that you couldn't find a lasting relationship in a cheesy drunken karaoke bar, but we have been married for 6 years. So you never know!

Dumperoo.....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/26/04
Karaoke is dead and this dump is the ultimate graveyard. All the stench, drunkeness, and loserdom that is New Orleans. If you are a loser, show up here!
