Famous Door, New Orleans

Great Bands - Fun Atmosphere! My boyfriend and I went to New Orleans for our vacation May 21-24, 2010. On the first day we were there we were walking down the street and heard this really great band playing so we dropped in and stayed for hours! As a matter of fact, we went several times throughtout the day and night every day we were in New Orleans and we plan to go back soon. We love music from the 70's and 80's so there was no need to go elsewhere! We had the best time! We were really impressed at all the names of the famous people that have passed through the "Famous Door". We highly recommend on your next visit to New Orleans, LA. that you too pass through the "Famous Door" and stay a while.

I have been going to Famous Door for years and love to go hear the band. They were not playing this weekend and no one could seem to tell me where they were! I was disappointed to see a DJ and not a band.

Just got back from New Orleans and tried out all the bars but the Famous Door was by far the best for entertainment! The band is great, we went and saw them everynight we were there! The only thing I can say negative about the bar is that the drinks were a little pricey incomparison to the others but like every other bar, you can bring your own in so it wasn't that big of a deal.

The band at the Famous Door is the best ! Love the songs, love the band; and we will go to the Door every time we go to New Orleans just to see RockBox, especially Tim

we have had a great time for 3 years running.no club or band can match in the quarter.they need more tables but the band is unblevable google rock box in new orleanes and you will see why .we spend a week there .and party our asses off.we just got back 10/17/08 and they are the best band hands down there go to the door and check them out.they play wen thru sunday and they crank up at 800pm.

There was an 80's cover band playing when we were there and it was a great time! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is rowdy. A great place to begin or end your evening!!

This was by far THE BEST bar we went to in the Quarters! Rockbox was absolutely amazing!! The girls looked good and were great about bringing drinks! We were only in town for a long weekend and were at the Famous Door every night. We are looking forward to going back so we can see Rockbox again!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BAR AND BAND!!!!!

My wife and i live in Slidell and we go every other weekend to the Quarters just to go to the Famous Door Bar to here Rockbox they have two of the best Guitar Players around We love This Bar. If you are looking for Great Music and a great place to party this is the SPOT!!!!!!!!!

Love the music and atmosphere at The Famous Door! The music and crowd are greatly varied. I'm from Baton Rouge, LA and go to New Orleans as often as I can for the music!

The Famous Door is the best bar on Bourbon Street! Their house band, Rockbox is the best! We go to the French Quarter every few weeks and we spend the majority of the night here!
