Fourth Presbyterian Church
Fourth Presbyterian Church has been a Chicago landmark since its construction in 1914. In 1975, it was declared a national one. Architect Ralph Adams Cram designed this gorgeous church in the Gothic Revival style. If you are strolling down Michigan Avenue, stop and admire this striking building of Bedford limestone and rich ornamentation. The church is located across the street from the bustling Hancock Center. Its restored courtyard is a quiet sanctuary from the stresses of city life. This landmark is also an active parish serving thousands of people, from all strata of society and all walks of life.

I HAD THE PLEASURE FOR THE FIRST TIME TO VISIT YOUR CHURCH WHEN I WAS IN CHICAGO TONIGHT , DEC. 21, 2007 . I WAS ABLE TO WITNESS JUST A SMALL PORTION OF THE " CHRISTMAS CONCERT " , WHAT A JOY THAT WAS FOR ME AND MY FAMILY .
I AM NOT A PRESBYTERIAN , I WAS RAISED AS A ROMAN CATHOLIC IN JOLIET , IL. BUT , I WATCH ON TV THE CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE EVERY YEAR .
I AM GOING TO ATTEND THIS YEARS CHRISTMAS SERVICE AT YOUR CHURCH ON CHRISTMAS MORNING .
TO ALL , AT THE FOURTH PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH ,
MERRY CHRISTMAS ,

At fourth prebyterian there lives an aura of christian tradition . In it's architecture, and in it's quiet stance in the community of marketing. The strong sense of stability and unwavering identity,I find nowhere else. The most important part to me, is the"OPEN DOOR",everyday at the corner of Michigan and Delaware, welcoming anyone who seek to complete, their journey ..
As a lover of wonderful big churches, this one caught my eye when I exited the Hancock Building across MIchigan Ave. I went in and to my surprise, landed on a noonday concert (Fridays). The 6000+ pipe organ was played by a Master and started off with Bach's famous Tocata and Fugue! The concert was an hour. You're handed a program as you enter. Plenty of seating, no crowds. Check it out! It's top shelf music for free (or a donation to the church.)
