Washington Park Sunken Garden, Chicago

This is a perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon. Bring all the picnic necessities and enjoy the children's playground areas, fishing pond, basketball courts and baseball diamonds. A three-story water slide and figure-eight spray pool are favorites with kids in the summertime. A dozen fountains shoot water as high as seven feet in the air from the shallow end of the pool. The DuSable Museum of African American History is also located here.
