Taste is the ultimate Dance Club. It is truly where the Party People go. Friday and Saturday nights are full of action. On many occassions you see a celeb or two just hanging out. For special events that one just happens along and gets admitted you can truly have an experience in The Taste. While it has been around for a long time it just seems to get better and bette with age. Like a fine wine kept at the proper temperature and under the right conditions it just seems to blossom with flavor. So if you find yourself South on some slow evening, just come by the Taste. YOu will be comfortable in the Zodiac lounge or if you find the Big Room open eithr way you will have an enjoyable experienc.

Only been a few times,mostly holidays. Always packed. Arrive early. Tons of chairs and tables so everyone is sitting down except for in the bar area. So it makes it seem more like you are going to a play or concert than a club. The show is really good but long. You can go alone bc the show (Drag queens, femme girls , and studs) will give you something to focus on. There is a nice size dance floor and the crowd is laid back. Dress to Impress.Neighborhood not the best and tons of peple so parking goes quick. Most likely you will be paeked on the street. I believe the cover is about $10. Going Memorial Day Weekend on Sunday. Sure it will be packed.

On Sunday Nights The Taste has "Gay" night and it is a great place to go let your hair down and have a wonderful time meeting "like minded" people. The performaces are a bit long but very entertaining

Every Thursday they have ladies night and it is great. They have about 5-10 male strippers and it is very much eye candy! When you are there be sure to watch the Franchise boys performance. (stallion, shilee, kassanova, playtoy, dark shadow) male strippers are the best

A variety of reggae, and hip hop music makes this a place to meet and greet new people. There are two bars, so no long waiting in line. The dance floor makes this spot a hit on Friday and Saturday nite. Coat check is only $1.

I went in the Taste with my nose turned up, but when I left, I had let my hair down. This is a wonderful place to party and have fun. The people are extremely nice for Chicago's standards. It's not the best looking place by any standards, but it has a really nice feel.

The second Tuesday of each mounth they feature feature guest from other local bars and they really party. The music, food and over all fun is great. I try not to miss it every mounth. On other days of the mounth, the regulars from The Taste visit other locations to party with them. This is only for the partying crowd, the dull stick-in-the-mud group should stay at home. F. Clink

really wonderful that the simmon bros. have kept this place going all these years. the area could stand some revitalization.

The show was an overall plus and worth the trip. I just wish the facilities were a little bit more up to par and maybe in a nicer area. But if your are ready for an eye popping memorable experince pleeaaase take the time to enjoy this experince!!! You will not forget it!!!!! Promise!!
