This well-known, chic establishment has been dishing up impressive service and food for over 20 years. A classic brownstone decorated with lavish wall coverings and waiters clad in black tuxedos add an upscale undertone to this eatery. The clientele is sophisticated, and the menu offers hearty fare with plenty of variety. Seafood and veal highlight the menu. Prices are reasonable, averaging $15 for lunch; $30 for dinner. Dinner is more intimate and relaxed then the bustling lunch hour. Dress is a bit sophisticated at dinner.
Terribly authentic Italian! The servers are so charming too, everything on the menu is great. Make sure to get a reservation (try to go on a weeknight) since it's soooooooo busy and reservations on weekend nights are almost useless. BUT the food is worth the wait. Definitely do the Bucatini Rosebud.ENJOY!!! We always go to the Rush St location when in Chicago.
Was looking for an old time "real" Chicago restaurant with great food. I stopped by a downtown fire station and they suggested Rosebuds. The food was excellent, great Veal with huge portions.Prices were resonable for the quality and quanity. We will go again when in chicago.
The food was excellent. It was not a bunch of haute cuisine fancy choices, it was real Chicago Southside Italian at its best. The portions were large, and there was enough to share a taste with your dining companions without worrying about your own gratification. The service was above average, even though the restuarant was very busy. I have heard of Rosebud for many years, but never bothered to go before. What a big mistake!
Rude wait staff and to top it off rude management!!!! Out of food and the waiter didn't even bother to tell you this until after you ordered your drinks. Waiter ran out of condiments for the other tables and took ours right off our table without even asking!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

This colorful taverna in Greektown is well worth the short trek from downtown. The menu mixes standard Greek fare, including
