Chicago Chop House
This popular steak and barbeque spot is set in a charming three-level Victorian brownstone with a big neon sign in the front - just so you do not miss it! For a real Chicago-style steak house experience, this place will not disappoint. The feeling is 'big' all around - big setting, big portions and, yes, big prices. It has a warm clubhouse feel with historical black-and-white pictures on the wall. You can count on a solid, relatively unchanging menu (the Prime Rib is a specialty). Service is refined, reliable and pleasant. A piano player can be found on the first floor, and bars on all three.
The Waiter was very arrogant.
We ordered a filet mignon and it didn't have any taste, for such an expensive dish you would expect a tasty meat flavor but you won't find it here.
Then I told the waiter that the meat was tasteless, he offered to bring sauce, but it didn't improve the taste and at the end he charged me for the sauce, yes, he charged me for a spoon of sauce!
I ordered a chocolate cake triying to find some consolation for the awful dish but it was mediocre at best.
The bill came for a hundred dollars, which I think were some of the worst spent dollars of my life.
