Horrible Customer Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/11
Every time I go to Foxtail, I get the feeling like it is an inconvenience for me to use the course. Well I've had it after tonight. At 7:00 pm our group was on hole 6 as the sprinklers came on. I called the clubhouse and alerted them we were on the course. Their response was, "ok so what do you want me to do about it." We played thru the water and went to hole 7, where the water turned on as we were on the tee box. Then as we were in the parking lot packing up at 8:30 with about 10 other people and 30 min til sunset, they barked at us through the loud speaker to "get out, we are closing" Last straw guys, never again will I spend money at your facility.

Great course for anybody no matter how good you think you are
By Teri, 4/12/08
Foxtail golf course is so often referred to as an easy executive course. Easy for who? Scratch golfers? Maybe. But for the rest of us, I challenge all you double digit handicappers to score under a 75. Foxtail offers the very best driving range in Boise/Meridian/Eagle with new balls every year and near year round opportunities to hit off of grass. Most people are unaware that Foxtail also has an excellent chipping facility on the east end of the parking lot which is like a mini four hold course and is free to the public and where most of the low handicappers hang out. Foxtail is simple in it's amenities but perfect for any level of play because in the end, no matter how easy the course, it's all about the number on the score card.

Don't go for the lessons!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/20/07
I signed up to take 6 1 hour lessons with instructor Gil Dwyer. I paid up front (big mistake)and started my lessons. I should've known from the beginning there would be a problem because I felt he was arrogant and rude. But I continued anyway. After lesson 3 I had a family emergency and told him I needed to take a break. A month later I was ready to attempt getting back into life. I tried several times to get set up the last 3 lessons but couldn't get any calls returned. I even went to the golf course and left a message. Now I've spent over a month trying to get the other half of my money back. No one is returning phone calls. Horrible customer service! Take your lessons somewhere else or pay as you go!

Short Course Tests Up and Down
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/4/06
The course is conveniently located in West Boise. It is only a par 61 (31/30), and when it is not crowded you can make it around in 2 to 2.5 hours, which is great. The greens can be a bit shaky, what with so many untutored rookies on the course leaving ball marks, stepping on the edge of the hole, etc., but the fairways are normally in very nice shape; lush green and cut to the right length. The course has only one par 5, so you can live without your driver. A series of tricky par 3 threes will test your short and mid-irons, with holes of 190, 65, 145, 115, 160, 120, 140, 135, 165, 220, 155, and 145 yards. An easy course? Yes. But tough against par. Per Harvey Penick: "if you can't beat my short game, you can't beat me." This course is all about the short game.
