It was serene, cool lush,... Beautiful. Such diversity in plants & exotic fruiting trees/shrubs. Only rather dificult to find, easy to get lost.

More than flowers
By Donna, 06/21/05
Frommer's guidebook needs to be updated as there are fewer tours and no longer has trams. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of entire area & history, not just the estate's gardens which was an additional bonus. Even if you don't want to do the walking you can still learn how to make a lei from the beautiful crown flowers grown on the estate combined with lovely purple orchids and greenery.
