Robyn Buntin of Honolulu
This large gallery not far from the Honolulu Academy of Arts specializes in Oriental and Oceanic art and antiques. Offerings include carved netsuke (owner Robyn Buntin is an expert collector), Japanese prints, Buddhist sculptures, jade pieces, scholar's table items, oceanic woodcarvings and many other fine pieces, some up to 5,000 years old. The gallery also represents the works of several contemporary Japanese artists and Hawaiian artists. Fine framing is available as well.
After visiting the Honolulu Museum of Art, our hosts insisted we visit the Buntin Gallery just down the street. What a treat. Such a lovely collection of treasures...the perfect place to make your gift list for the holidays. One of the highlights of our visit to the beautiful island of Oah'u...we'll certainly be back on our next visit.
I felt a great deal of warmth and professional integrity upon my first experience(trying to identify my painting)The two persons who identified my painting as a genuine work of art; inspected the painting with a real concentrated effort.Even though I was not what you would call a person who could afford to purchase any works of art; I felt a great deal of respect and professionalism bestowed upon me.And I want to thank you all for your time and energy you took to assist me in identifying my painting. One other thing your conservator was first rate in giving me information as to what would be needed to be done and how long it would take;plus special needs which needed done etc.If I was a person of wealth I would certainly be encouraged to purchase works of art from your establishment.Mahalo nui loa,Sincerely Scott Hamilton
