Hawaiian Parasail Inc

Description

For the ultimate thrill, try this popular adventure sport. Sail above the seas on a small parachute that's being towed by a speedboat. People who have gone say there's nothing like it. This company is Hawaii's oldest parasail operator, and one of its most respected. It's been running for 25 years. You couldn't pick a better company in which to place your trust and your life. If going solo seems a bit scary, take a tandem ride. Adrenaline junkies are encouraged to ask about the "Wet and Wild Rides." Call directly or ask an activity broker for more information.

GREAT, ignore the other post

eveything was fine... the complaint about the harness below is dumb... if you listen to what is said to you before you go up then that wont happen to you...the so called seat of the harness is a sort of wide padded strap so to speak, but if you leave it under your thighs you will be ok, if you pull it way back, you will hang from between your legs by the leg straps that are designed to catch you if you pull it back... so there was nothing actually wrong, they were just sitting or hanging uncomfortabley and are trying to blame the company

Awesome Company
By ,
I have been using this company since 2006 with no problems. There are always those horible tourists that write negative reviews. I will give you the straight scoop. I alsways bring my visitors to them and they always have a good time! Resevations always go smoothly. Capt Wade is great. A long-term Grade A Captain that is ther to please. Listen to the locals. Say thank you!

DONT GO HERE
By ,
Horrible experience!! I was excited to go parasailing for my birthday but it turned into a nightmare!! Before we went into the air the crew didn't check and make sure our harnesses were on correctly. As soon as we went into the air my harness went over my butt and was digging into my skin and a sunburn I had from the day before. The worst part was that the crew members were taking pictures of us in the air, fully knowing something was wrong! But they didn't do anything. After we came back down they only said sorry. I complained and over 2 weeks kept calling back because the owner never returned my call. I went back to the office and had them call the owner, but he was extremely rude and said it was not "his fault I had a sunburn" and he doesn't give refunds, then he hung up on me! Then one of the crew members in the office tried to start a fight with my boyfriend over our complaint. Horrible service and irresponsible employees!! Don't waste your time and money on this place.

I have to tell you that Calvin, who picked us up, with his copilot Sunny(a love bird) was the BOMB!! Very friendly, very informative. He & Sunny made the trip complete. Of course the parasaling was awesome!

Reservation please!
By ,
Parasailing was great! But the receptionist must go! This company must loose a lot of money over the phone if customers experienced what I experienced. Very rude, very difficult to understand, and time consuming... my attempt to make reservations took me over 15 minutes! I was surprised to experience such frustration making reservations for parasail? I would think hiring someone who speaks "gooder" english might increase the sales x10. good luck!

The parasailing company named HAWAIIAN PARASAIL was horrible. The girl in the booth on wed drove us nuts. When we first called to make res. my wife could not understand her answers to my questions. She was rude, put us both on hold for a long time and hung up on me once. I dont recommend any one deal w/ this nonsense company. and i hope they find better help in the booth. as far as he parasail ride went the cap. and crew were great, not to mention the funny van driver.

Don't Use This Company - Integrity Jeopardized
Please do not use this company. They will take your pictures and charge you $15 for the roll only to return back to the mainland US to discover that the entire roll is blank with no pictures. What a ripoff!!! They misrepresented themselves. I would not trust this company. Buyer beware.

Great crew, great time!
By ,
Safety was the priority for Hawaiian Parasail. We left the harbor on a breezy day, breezy enough that the crew was concerned for everyone's safety. They tried one tandem, then that was it. They called it off. They felt it was better to cancel for the day than put people at risk (by the way, they don't make money when they do that), then they rescheduled or refunded, depending upon each passenger's preference. Well, I took the reschedule. I loved it! It was awesome. I'm going to do it again, too, and with Hawaiian Parasail. People are what's important Hawaiian Parasail, not dollars. Oh, and when they cancelled the trip that breezy day, one of their "Xtreme" competitors was out putting people into the air, and continued to do so, even after we were ashore. And that's a true story. P.S. Make sure to take your camera "up" with you. Shawn Buresh

How High?
By ,
My first experience parasailing was so entertaing, I had to do it again! My adventure started with a (exciting) van ride from Waikiki to Fisherman's Wharf (yatch harbor) to catch our ride. We were altogether 8 passengers and the crew on the boat. I found out later that that boat was used in Jurrasic Park III. Didn't have the opportunity to dbl check the movie but I was told to watch the openning scene. We were solicited photos for 15$ for a roll of 24 pics. I didn't purchase the photo's but I did spend an extra twenty, for the upgraded flight... you gotta do it! I was one of the last pairs to go up, as I watched the prior flights, it was pretty "cut-n-dry" everything the brochure says. A couple before me gave the guy twenty and up and away they went... WOW! they were free fallin' into the ocean dragged sideways and a series of ups-n-downs! I thought now that's what I wanna do. I did. You gotta to. 'nough said. There is always the bad experience of a vacation...xtreme...x-scream? whatever. I had such a experience with Hawaiian Parasail Co. that I wanted to parasail again. I did, but this time with xtreme. These guys didn't know it but I had my SUUNTO computer watch which has diverse functions, one was a altimeter...(I climb mountains) These guys wanted money for altitude! I gave them the money for the xtreme flight which says ...1200 ft. ...I don't think so... my altimeter at the highest was 320ft.??? Ah! got it. The majority of the population cannot "eye-ball" altitude escpecially over water. And these guys are taking full advantage of this. Be aware.
