The "Aloha Spirit" is very much in evidence at this friendly, entertaining luau. On Germaine's strip of beach, guests can dance the hula, sip free-flowing Mai Tais and Blue Hawaiians, and stuff themselves on a sumptuous buffet of Hawaiian and American favorites. At the dinner show, performers from varied South Pacific islands entertain the crowd with displays of skill and dexterity. There is a luau occurs every night starting June 1st. However, Germaine's Luau is closed Mondays starting in September.

Not bad but not my favorite
By RebeckaS, 09/20/09
This is my 3rd Oahu luau. It was okay. You do see the ugly industrial park on your way in and it is on a tiny strip of beach but there is a neat little light house that is a good photo spot. Entry into the luau was nothing special; no big fanfare with a lei ceremony or anything. The staff are very friendly and the show was pretty good. The fire dancer was so-so. Food was good. Beverages were surprisingly strong and tasty. Overall it was okay but like I said, not my favorite.

Horrible Luau - Go to Paradise Cove instead!!!!
By Paige, 09/12/09
This was our second luau on Oahu and by far the worst. The location is outside an industrial park and there is a 1 foot strip of beach that is roped off. There is no pre-dinner entertainment, you just sit around waiting for things to get started. The food was typical for luau food, not terrible but not great. The show itself was okay, but in doesn't compare to the experience you get at Paradise Cove. I would not recommend this place to anyone, it is a complete waste of time and money.

FORGET ABOUT IT
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/27/08
The food was OK but the flying insects were unbearable!!! They made my wife and myself crazy and extremely itchy!!! Also many of the male dancers were way too white to be taken seriously as natives. Also my wife got sick from the food or the drinks. All in all we were VERY happy to leave. We were told that Germaines was the BEST luau,if this is the best then I would hate to see the worst. My advice would be to save your $69 per person. TAH

TOO MUCH FUN!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/16/08
My husband and I visited this luau on our first full day in Hawaii. Our Travel Agent said it was the best luau, so that's why we picked it. On our busride over, our tourguide asked who'd hula in front of everyone. My husband raised his hand, and little did I know... The people were great, the singers were wonderful, the dancers were awe inspiring, and the food and drinks... oh were they delicious. Then they get to the audience participation. They'll take 3 men to hula in coconut bras and grass skirts (over their shorts). MY HUSBAND WON! He was hilarious, and the audience voted him the winner- he got a poster, a tee shirt, and "leid" by a beautiful woman! This was one of our favorite parts of the trip! Definately a must see.

Nothing is better than Germaine's!!!!
By kimberly d, 07/19/07
While on my visit to Hawaii, I had the opporitunity to enjoy Germaine's Luau. The atmosphere is wonderful and everyone is so friendly. The entertainment is unbelievable, yet educational. The food is different from the mainland but if you are open minded you can grow to appreciate it. If visiting the island of Oahu, please visit for an awesome party!!!

Don't Waste Your Money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/27/05
I cannot believe Germaine's luau stays in business. After more than an hour of sitting on a bus in rush-hour traffic, you arrive at an industrial park. Germaine's is on a very small strip of land surrounded by, literally, an oil refinery and a junk yard. The staff herd the people from the picnic tables through the buffet line like a herd of cattle, and the food was poor at best. When someone in line next to us asked for more beef, the woman serving told him, "Move along!!!" The entertainment was really tacky (the dancers had on plastic skirts and plastic flowers), especially compared with similar events we had been to. The only redeeming factor is the drinks - they are so strong that perhaps people forget they just spent in the evening in what looks like a toxic waste dump. This was definitely not our idea of Hawaiian luau paradise.

My Spiritual Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/09/05
In October if 1997, I brought my son, Justins ashes to the luau and a wonderful lady named Stephanie let me leave my son's ashes there in a special place, I'll never forget the wonderful Spiritual event. I would like to return soon to visit the site.

Chistmas Eve
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/28/04
Once we finally got on the bus, everything was great. Becuase our party was large, we had reserved table up front. Even though the food was basic, it was filling and tasty. The entertainment was very good. It was a pleasant way to spend Christmas Eve with new "cousins". Very warm and family like atomsphere.
