Paradise Cove Luau, Honolulu

Paradise Cove Luau is an experience of a life time in one of the most beautiful places on earth. The staff is helpful, entertaining and complete the entire package. If you thing Luau food is all the same, you haven't experienced Paradise Cove!

This was a pretty fun event. The good parts were the entertainment, although you constantly feel like a herd of cattle when they demand everyone follow them. They call everyone "cousins" about 5 million times which gets annoying. The drinks were super bad. Very weak, no flavor...stick with beer and softdrinks. The price isn't worth it cause the drinks are that bad and the food was horrible. I got the mid-priced seating with table service. They give you one piece of chicken with hardly any meat on it. We had to ask for more. The rolls were generic as was everything else. People were generally nice and the activities were fun.

I've been to 3 luaus on Oahu and this is my favorite. The show is really good and entertaining, plus you get entertained at various activities and mini shows before dinner (thought it did seem kind of long before we were finally seated for the show and dinner). It is kind of crowded. The backdrop is gorgeous here; Ko Olina is the perfect location for a luau. You will get a picture of a perfect sunset. Food is good but we were seated in the back and were the last table to go to the buffet and things were down to the last bits and some items were getting cleaned up right behind us, that was pretty lame.

Upon entrance I thought the Mai Tai's were very tasty yet didnt have any 'kick' to it. For the rest of the evening the other drinks were pretty weak as well. Although there were plenty of activities to attempt to do, the lines were ridiculous due to there being about 500+ people there. So needless to say my party did not partake in any activities. The shoppes were varily reasonable however. The dancers were 'good-looking' and energitic. The food was tasty as well and the line moved pretty fast even with the amount of people. When we sat down our 'cousin' waiter offered to refill our drinks - mind you we had already went up to the bar and used our tickets previously on our selection of drinks- however the waiter took our 2 tickets plus an additional $13 for the upgrade in drinks (lrge mai tai and a virgin mai tai) and he came back with a regualr drink and a soda. When asked where our change was, we were informed that he had to use it to get my reg mai tai because the ticket did not cover it and therefore had to also get a soda with the other ticket - which was a crock o sea shell... so he ended up with a $13 tip... good thing my mother paid for it all for if it was my money I would have walked back over there with him... I have mixed reviews. I believe they have the best food for a luau as well as the entertainment is good, however, a part of the pricey tickets is for the activities that if your willing to stand in LONG lines you might get a chance.

This was a GREAT luau. The performers were absolutely stunning to look at and so graceful! The dancing was fabulous and some numbers were amazing beautiful. The cove is quite lovely and the Hawaiian band very skilled. We loved the food, the shops, the little pre-show activities and of course the special lei greeting (make sure you get the orchid lei. This was one of my fondest memories of Hawaii. Aloha!

Bait and switch! They say one thing and charge you more than they are supposed to! They basically said to me they don't care, they can get away with it, and when I said I would dispute the charges, and I quote, " Go ahead... other people have tried!" Talk about stunned and amazed - not in a good way.

I have been to hawaii 6 times and have been to paradise cove 6 times. the absolute place to go. good food, terrific staff and a wonderful night to remember with cultures from all of the pacific islands. on one trip i had a problem with a video i had purchased at the cove, staff came to my hotel in waikiki and refunded my money with courtesy and a great aloha smile. keep up the good work. a wonderful experience i have kept in my heart and will so forever

December 31, 2010. New Year's Eve, Welcoming 2011 At Paradise Cove Luau. What I disliked about the place was that there wasn't much to do but walk around. But I definitely enjoyed the food, the service and the people and of course the entertainment! The beautiful people and the perfect sunset while walking on their white sand beach, set the mood for that night. Worth the money & time. A must go when in Hawai'i. This was our first family trip to Hawaii. It was the one year anniversary of losing our 31 year old son and we all needed to get away. The luau was a highlight of our trip. The food was great and all of the entertainment and history was excellent. My only question, how do we get the photo taken of all of us???

We paid for the deluxe package. To start out our bus was late picking everyone up, and we were assured that we would get there on time and the luau would not start without us. When we got there we received our lei's and our watered down drink, Then we were told to go right to our table because the luau had already started. Since we were late our premium seats were way off to the left, with only a so so view. The food was terrible except for the pulled pork. all the other food was gross, and the mixed drinks that were paid for were so weak. I normally do not drink so after 3 mixed drinks I should have really been feelin it. NOT at all. You felt like cattle being herded around to different areas. But since it was so crowded (700+ people) the lines were so long at each activity that most we did not get to do. The bathrooms were filthy!!! The hula show was pretty good and enjoyable but not great by any standards. When choosing a luau do your research before you choose. And in many cases the local consierge did not have up to date info,
