Chart House Honolulu
For several years, this restaurant (not affiliated with the chain) has served some of the best steak and seafood in the islands. The laid back atmosphere (what would you expect from a placed owned by a legendary surfer) remains a consistent favorite for tourists and residents alike. Patrons drink and dine overlooking the Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor, gazing at the sunset beyond the waving masts. Nightly entertainment ranges from Hawaiian singer-songwriters to small jazz combos.
The steaks are very tender and the jumbo shrimp is mouth watering. Management is extremely meticulous about its food and service. My water glass was never more than a sip away from being full. I had fun timing how long it would take for it to get filled after I took only one sip.
I recommend the combo steak and shrimp dinner. It was one of the highlights of the Hawaii trip.
We visited the Charthouse because it was next to our hotel and we were not disappointed.
The service was absolutely excellant, the food was the best we had in Hawaii. the dining area overlooks the bay and you can watch the boats as you dine.
We found our way to the Charthouse several times when we were in Hawaii, now are back in Chicago and on diets!
I would recommend this restaraunt to anyone.
