You can stuff yourself on decent coffeeshop food at this famous bargain dining spot. Open for breakfast ($5.50), lunch ($6.50) and dinner ($9.50), it is a smart alternative to the many high-priced Wakiki dining choices nearby, especially if you have a large, hungry family. Buffet offerings include fried chicken, mashed potatoes, egg rolls, steamed vegetables, rice and roast beef. Desserts and soft drinks are included in the price. The outdoor dining area is surprisingly peaceful; it is landscaped with a brook and graceful palm trees. Perry's second Waikiki location is at 2380 Kuhio Avenue.
I've been only two times in Hawaii and both I preferred to eat here cause the restaurants are very expensive and I prefer spend my money elsewhere; if you are trained with 4-5 stars restaurant DON'T COME HERE ! But if you want to eat in a honest place with a wide choice of plates absolutely you must come here: just two cokes and the bargain is OK !

I was forced to eat breakfast here for seven days, on a school band trip. It was terrible, to say the least. Birds were everywhere and sometimes the food was cold! Service, there was none! Save your money and go get a bagel, you'll be more satisfied. I am not posh or rich, but I defnitely would eat at Denny's before eating here.
The only people who down this place are the jone's and the posh posh or the posers that act that way! But for the tourist on a budget also with big families or a group, this is the place to eat. Other eateries in Hawaii can get very expensive for not much more of a grade of food than you are paying for here at Perry's. Hey! there are alot more buffets that are worse back home in the states. PERRY'S IS THE BIGGEST BANG FOR THE BUCK!!!! go head find another place as cheap and better! go! head! The breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all worth the price. DONT BLEIVE THOSE NEGITIVE REVIEWS. THEY ARE ALL WRITTEN BY THE IGNORANT. THEY WENT NEXT DOOR FOR THE $125.00 NEW YORK STEAK. Remember you will be eating at a budget buffet, not a 5star buffet. And for a budget buffet it's pretty darn good.
Gross , but intresting ,bird droppings everywhere ,I guess if people are hungry enough they will go anywhere and eat anything ,The budget travel has limited selection in Oahu not much for under $15.00 per person unless you like McD,s every day.
This could likely be the worst dining experience I have ever had, certainly the worst I had in Honolulu. Hundreds of people self-serving from the "buffet" cannot be sanitary. Luckily I did not get sick. The roast beef was the only thing decent food item. The rest of the food was unexplainably horrible. How can you mess up spaghetti? And the fish smelled fishy, a sure sign of lack of freshness. There was nothing but the cheapest (and oddest) stuff on the salad bar-beans, beets, olives, pickles. No eggs, cheese, broccoli, etc. The soup was corn chowder-another cheapy. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. You will not regret skipping this place.
This is a great place to visit if you're ever in the neighborhood! The varieties of food are endless and the classic Hawaiin motif is great! It doesn't cost much and the service is good. You should definitely put it on your list of things to do in Honolulu!
Who in their right mind gave this 5 stars?? ...Owners and relatives. After paying for 5, the only thing that could describe this buffet is a random mix of items found in trash that noone wanted from other local buffets. We all had a good laugh, got over the fact that we lost a little money, and ate elsewhere.
The prices are higher now - we paid $10.95 per person for dinner. Everything was terrible. We weren't expecting great food, but I think we would have eaten better at MacDonalds or Burger King...and for less money. We found much better buffets at Todai and Kuhio Beach Grill (but then these were twice as expensive.) Perry's Smorgy compares to the cheap buffets at the older, crappier casinos in Reno and Las Vegas - but since it's in Hawaii it's more expensive.
4 trips to Hawaii and we keep returning to Perry's Smorgy on Lewers Street, all you can eat buffet, serves all 3 meals, and one of the few cheap places that we found to eat,You won't leave Hungry--when we return in 2007-we will eat there again, and even find a hotel close to lewers street
