Duke's Restaurant & Barefoot Bar

Description

The biggest reason everyone gathers at this beachfront restaurant is the music and the patio sunsets. The sound is "Contemporary Hawaiian" and appeals to a youngish demographic. Groups that often play here are Kapena, Makana and Lilikoi Sisters (Friday through Sunday evenings). The food includes fresh fish, burgers and a tasty club sandwich. The atmosphere offers a great beach setting with traditional Hawaiian friendliness. There is a breakfast buffet (USD9.95) and lunch buffet (USD10.50). The adjoining bar is a good place to have a drink before heading back to the beach.

Treat yourself to a great dinner.
By ,
Great view, excellent service, quality food, generous portions. Bring your appetite and enjoy the ambiance. A must for first timers as well as returnees. Make a reservation and request a table away from the bar area where it will be a bit less noisy.

ATE THERE FOUR NIGHTS AGO
By ,
it was great food. There was a one man band (i guess two really), when my daughter took my neiphew (army man) and his wife there when we were visiting them there last week.every part of are dining was exellant. It was pretty neet because my daughter and myself are from kansas and when we walked through the doors at dukes the band just happened to be singing, (i am going to kansas city, kansas city here i come) it was all good.

Love Duke's!
By ,
This is the best place to eat at Waikiki. We went for Breakfast our first morning in Hawaii and loved it! The Buffet is delicious and the view is amazing. We loved it so much we went back twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. It really is the place to be.

UNFORGETTABLE!
By ,
My husband and I went here on our honeymoon 7 years ago. We both agree it is in our top 3 favorite restaurants of all time! We both had the surf and turf. It is the biggest, best lobster I've ever had anywhere! We recommend this restaurant to all of our friends who visit hawaii. ENJOY!

I Will go back!!!
By ,
c'on, its Hawaii!! everything in or about Hawaii is excellent. yes, Duke's has very nice food, ambiance as well as the service. I didn't wait more the 10 min for my food! You have to get there soon if you don't want to wait outside for a table. That's the only thing wrong about it, but that means that it has a lot of people interested in Duke's good service.

We'll be back real soon!!
By ,
We loved everything about Duke's, the restaurant and especially the Barefoot Bar. When we go to Oahu we do not stay in Waikiki. We stay out Wainae way but we make sure we go to Duke's as often as possible because we love it so much. We'll be going to Hawaii in January and February, 2008 and we can hardly wait to go to Duke's. When we know of anyone going to Waikiki we tell them to be sure to go to Duke's and they won't be disappointed. Aloha and see you soon!!

Great Place in the Afternoon
By ,
Duke's was fun. Some locals told us to go on Saturday afternoon when they have live music and lots of people. It was fun...very hot! But luckily we got a table pretty quickly since we were there early. The food was just above average and it takes a while to get used to eating in a non-airconditioned environment. But overall it was pretty good.

True Class with a View
By ,
The atmosphere is casual class. Beach, sun and outdoor appeal combined with comfort and decor more like a 4 star steak house. The food is great value and the drinks are only made with top shelf brands. We went twice during our stay ~ once dressed business and the other brushing off sand from the beach, and in both cases the staff was great and among our best food experiences in Waikiki.
