Shore Bird Beach Broiler, Honolulu

This is the only place to have breakfast in waikiki.I have yet to find another place that caould beat the variety and quality of food for $12.50 per person, children under 4, I believe pay only fraction of that.

We did the Shorebird on our last visit to Waikiki and had a fabulous meal. The cook your own feature turned out to be tooo much fun and a real experience over the hot BBQ. We look forward to going back during our next visit in March,08.

Years back, the Shorebird was funky, fun and a great value for what you received. A few years back, they went through and gentrified the place, raised the prices and dramatically reduced the value. Last year, we saw that they had remodeled the place once again and thought, "Uh oh." Sure enough, the price went up again, the service remained the same (minimal) and the food frankly hasn't changed from when it was the funky old place. Sadly, we won't return, but we still have fond memories of a once great place. Oh yeah, don't let all the reviews for the bar influence you to eat there. That is unless you want to pay a high price for the meal and end up sweating to cook it yourself.

prefer a sit down dinner instead of own cooking of steak would have been nice is had the option to have someone else cook at the grill. Clothes got all smokey. But the quality of food excellent.

We enjoyed the staff the view the food etc. We have been to Hawaii 22 times in 19 years. We will always go to the Shorebird. See you Sept 2007 Wayne

The setting is beautiful and surreal. The food is fantastic and plentiful. You could search for a lifetime and never duplicate this special place.

My husband and I just got back from O'ahu and my husband and I just happened to come upon this restaurant /bar while in Waikiki. It is utterly beautiful, the view is stunning. We loved our few nights there sipping Mai Tai's and listening to the beautiful singers and the waves.

They hold the hawaiian tropic swimsuit competetion on Sunday afternoons. My boss and I were choosen as judges one Sunday. We had fished the morning and caught black marlin.. so we couldnt wait to cook the fish on the grills. Well the contest was to die for... Need i say more.. Its a must stop for anyone just like pearl harbor.... GO and Enjoy

This place is fun,overlooks the Beach, you have options as to cooking yourself,it is a little less expensive. I would and have recommended it to others.

The very best of Waikiki Beach, bar none. The Shore Bird has excellent food at great prices but most of all the atmosphere in this place is top notch. You will NOT find a better place to be at during the afternoon, especially towards sunset. I just left Hawaii yesterday and I miss this place already!! Hated to leave this place behind!!
