MacElwee's, Tybee Island

The food was way overpriced for such a small portion and wasn't even anything special. Most of the workers seemed very stuck up. We're extremely surprised they were awarded best service. Our waitress was quite rude and wasn't very good at serving either. She missed my brother's glass and poured sweet tea all over his arm and the table, then just walked off. She spilled tea on him (even on his head) every time she came back to refill our glasses. She didn't seem to pay attention to anything she was doing.

We have visited MacElwee's 2years in a row. Have had great food, but even greater service. The people are very friendly and happy to be working. Hence, the reason I returned. My 1st visit in 2010, I received a steamed platter with crab legs, shrimp, and oysters. All but 3-4 oysters were cooked to perfection. Since 3-4 of my oysters were slightly undercooked and I could not open them, the manager brought me a new bucket of 15 steamed oysters. I told her she did not need to do that, but she insisted. For that reason, I returned and would go back again and again.
