Excellent Entertainment
By PianoFriend09, 11/01/09
Wonderful piano bar! The room is very large and set up in a way that allows everyone to feel they're part of the show. The players are extremely talented. Each is skilled in piano and crowd interaction, and vocals range from pretty good to outstanding. Each player seems to have unique talents and his own personality. I particularly enjoy Spencer Bates(fantastic, versatile vocals, varied and updated song choices, strong crowd interaction) and Tim Buie (always seems to love making music; a true pro). I've been to many piano bars and Smiles is one of the most laid-back, fun-loving, and yet still very professional venues I've enjoyed. A must-do in Savannah!

Don't know what all the hub-bub is about
By Jeff, 06/22/09
expensive drinks and drunk entertainers = a boring show for me! I was treated like a pain in the ass by wait staff & actually sat through the piano players playing the same song 3 different times...YAWN! To boot I had to pay a cover charge to get in. Never again will I suffer through this painful experience.. I have been to awesome piano shows around the country & this one falls short on many levels. They must have Helen Keller in charge of their sound because I felt like my ears were bleeding after a hour or so

This bar has really gone down hill
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/31/09
This place used to be ok but as of lately it is so dirty, expensive, boring & really not a safe place! The piano players are so lame & the wait staff is rude, the drinks are expensive! I won't be going back at all & they seem to have a bunch of new players lately I much prefer the old staff that did more current songs. Thumbs down

Savannah Smiles is contagious!
By Amy, 10/26/07
I was in town to help a friend celebrate her birthday. After dinner we weren't ready to call it a night and so we headed downtown. My friend lives in Savannah and said I would love this place and she was right! The performers were tremendous and seemed to know that they had a dream job and worked their tails off. There were two sets of dueling pianists so the music never stopped. It was loud but not as loud as some bars I've been to, and certainly not as loud as bars I've been to that host live music. Some listings say you have to tip $5 or more per request to get your song played. We averaged $3 bucks, paying more to get folks on stage. The cover was $5. I only had diet coke so I can't comment on the drink prices. The menu on the table listed munches that seemed a little high but you're in Savannah, a tourist city. You expect things to be a little high. All in all I think it was worth every penny. The only con to list is our server was a little slow returning with our drinks and with our tab when we were ready to leave. I think she had too many tables, but she was very pleasant. We stayed about 3 hours and my face hurt from laughing and smiling so much. I LOVED this place and am now trying to figure out when I can get back to Savannah so I can go to this bar!

Savannah Smiles made us all smile
By Douggie, 08/30/06
I am moving to Savannah, Ga. I was there getting things ready for my wedding when my sister and 3 other friends came over from Columbus to throw me a party. We went to Savannah smiles and had the greatest time. My sister along with my friends said they will always want to go there when they come to town. The musicians are fabulous. They can play and sing anything you want to hear. They have a way of making you feel right at home. We all just can't say enough about this place. If you go to Savannah and don't go to Savannah Smiles then you have really missed a great time.
