Vinnie Van Go Go's
Year after year, the New York style pizza at Vinnie Van Go Go's is voted best in Savannah. Offered whole or by the slice, the pizza here has a crisp, flavorful crust and can be piled high with your choice of fresh toppings. Indoor seating includes a few small tables and a counter with tall stools, but the best place to sit is outside on the patio. Even in colder weather, space heaters warm the outsides of patrons, while pizza warms the insides. Beer and wine available. Cash only.
Excellent pizza. Great selection of toppings but we went with the usual pepperoni pizza because our kids wanted pepperoni. Very reasonably priced and delicious. The spinach was average and not worth the money, though. Highly recommed it. It will not disappoint you.
Well i first visited Vinnie Van Go Go's in 2003 when my Hubby was over in Iraq. My friend wanted to take my mind off it so I didn't get depressed. It was to die for. so when my hubby got back I took him there and we have gone every time we make a trip to Savannah, Georgia. Just one slice could fill you up. Plus they make it right in front of ya. Also the price is well worth it. I advise you order two large to take home and eat later.
Absolutely the best pizza I have eaten...Excellent crust and very good sauce..In the city market area of downtown Savannah.Bought a large pizza, very big and was only 12 bucks....Alot of the locals and collage kids go here and is crowded most of time.....Extremely reasonable prices for what you get.....
We had an old world white pizza with mozzarella and mushrooms and tomatoes. OMG- it was so awesome. I want some now as I am writing this review. The pizza was large, my friend and I could only eat two pieces each and we were starving. We happened upon it because what we had planned to eat at was closed...LUCKY US!
I like the location, City Market Savannah. The hostess was fine. The pizza was almost as good as the pizza I get from the food court at Costco. The attitude from the , she didn't have enough time to give me a reccommendation but surely had time to talk to fellow employees with her back to her customers.
This was an awesome experience but if your looking for a quick pizza fix do not come here. If you want REAL pizza you need to stop by and get some great NY thin Crust pizza. Its perfect for groups to just two people.
Every year we go to Savannah and make it a point to stop by Vinnie's. Always the best pizza, awesome atmosphere, best wine in a plastic cup, cool staff, and friendly birds- what else can you ask for! A must !!
