Marietta Golf Center
Georgians know how to golf, and this is where many of them learn to perfect the art. Located just north of the city in ritzy Marietta, this facility offers lessons for everyone from the devotee to the true greenhorn. A driving range featuring 50 grass and 20 covered tees, all of which are lighted to provide golf well into the night. Two chipping greens, two putting greens, and two sand bunkers are also available. Whether you're looking to improve your all-around skills or perfect that one aspect that's holding you back, the Marietta Golf Center has the cure you seek.
I have yet to find a better stand-alone practice facility in the Metro Atlanta area.
3 tiered grass teeing area along with a covered area with good quality mats. They even over-seed in the winter. The owner changes out the balls a couple times a year as well, keeping the balls fresh since this place gets a lot of traffic. There is a large short game/chipping area that you can pay a low yearly fee to use or just a couple of bucks for one time use. They also have a small synthetic putting green to practice on. I'd prefer a real green but its a decent alternative.
I must also say, its the best value I've seen around town. The baskets are larger and cheaper than most other ranges, especially those at golf courses. A "jumbo" bucket that holds 135 balls is $13, a large (100 balls) is $11. Most places have around 80 balls for $10-11.
Absolutely the best public practice facility in Cobb County. Maybe even the best in the greater Metro Atlanta area. If you want to practice on well-maintained turf and with top quality practice balls, this place is for you!
If you're looking for a practice facility that cares about golfers, this is it.
Thanks to the owners and employees of Marietta Golf Center, metro Atlantans no longer have to imagine what it would be like to actually hit iron shots off quality grass, have confidence in posted yardages, practice chipping and sand shots to greens that run more true to courses we actually play, putt on an excellent artificial putting green, and even have quality covered-area hitting mats at our disposal in inclement weather.
Even if I happen to be a bit closer to one of the other metro Atlanta practice facilities, I almost always choose to spend my time and money at Marietta Golf Center.
It's obvious that these guys and gals really know the game of golf. My hat's off to the crew at Marietta Golf Center.
Facility has great practice areas - driving range, putting green and short course area. Best deal in town is the member short course practice area. Huge plus is Teaching Pro Steve Furgerson - he is outstanding! Nice folks, even has a nice lounge area for a break after hitting off of their well maintained driving range. David C.
One of the best ranges I've ever been too. Always plenty of grass, new balls kept up to date. Friendly workers, great teachers. Great place to practice and hang out.

Great hidden gem in Marietta! The grass is also plush and the range balls are the best in town. They also offer pro lessons, clubfitting, short game areas, and club repair. Don't go anywhere else in Cobb County!
