Description
You'll find the idyllic beauty of Moccasin Creek State Park about 20 miles (32 kilometers) north of Clarkesville on GA-197, a mere 80 miles (130 kilometers) northeast of Atlanta in the North Georgia mountains. Make camp at one of the 54 tent and trailer sites, or break bread under one of the six conveniently-placed picnic shelters. A small lake offers boating, including a ramp and dock for private boats and rental canoes. Waterskiing is permitted in the lake, and fishing is allowed in both the lake and the stream.
