Joey D's Oak Room, Atlanta

Joey D's is a wonderful casual restaurant at the north end of Atlanta. The food is always excellent (especially the soups) and the service wonderful. If you don't want to spend a bundle but want an excellent meal, Joey D's is the place.

This was our first time eating here, but what a nice experience. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere was elegant, but comfortable, and the food was fabulous. Definitely a Five!

WOW!! What a view just as soon as you open the door! The bar is incredible to look at and even better to enjoy! I had the Ribeye steak and my date, the broiled Snapper. She had it blackend just a touch and it was awesome!! Everyone smiled at us duriong our visit and even though it's supposed to be like a New York style steak house, the southern flair for hospitality is very apparent. If you haven't gone there you are missing one of Dunwoody's best kept secrets.

I was in Atlanta for business. I wandered into Joey D's and loved it. It was one of the best steaks I have ever had. The bar is cool (a wall of bottles). Real nice atmosphere. A+

This was my absolute worst dining experience ever. To begin, the night I went was on a cold day, and whenever their front door opens you can feel the rush of cold air no matter where you're sitting in the restaurant - since, as the name implies, it's just a huge room. Want to get Salmonella? This is the place to eat. My experience there was my first, and my last. All I ordered was a Caesar Salad, with Chicken... not too hard to mess up. The dressing tasted just like your typical "out of the bottle" dressing and obviously was not made in-house, and the chicken was RAW on the inside. Not just undercooked, but completely raw. The chicken was cold, too, so apparently what they do is they cook it (apparently not in my case) and they stick it in the fridge, and just top off your salad with it. Most restaurants grill it fresh. The service was fine, because when I alerted my server of this, a manager was at my table within 15 seconds. Thing is, I wasn't looking to get a free meal out of this, especially two free meals. The manager apologized, blah bah, and pretty much gave me the impression he was worried I'd get sick from consuming undercooked chicken, so they comped my meal, and also told me I could get anything on the menu, free, to take home. Hmmm... so I thought, they messed up a Caesar Salad with Chicken, let me try some London Broil. BLAH! The London Broil was TERRIBLE. NO seasoning, NO spices, and I had asked for it medium-well, but it was purely overcooked. Apparently EVERYTHING at this restaurant lacks in taste and quality. Do NOT eat here. For the price of $20 a plate, you're MUCH better off eating a P.F. Chang's, Carrabba's, Goldfish, or even Houston's for the same price, and their food is multiple times better. Don't EVER go here, the place is a straight up joke.

Joey D's has great food, nice bar and a great place for a date! I would highly recommend trying it out if you haven't been there before!

If you want a steak dinner and a beverage (coke, etc.) at this place, you are going to pay $30/person! And what restaurant in GEORGIA doesn't serve SWEET iced tea?! They only serve unsweetened with all the sugar packets you care to litter your table with:( The ribs were OK, but not as good many other places I've tried. My baked potatoe was barely warm. My wife's roast beef sandwich was NOT GOOD. I would have sent it back. The meat tasted like sliced roast beef out of a pack in the grocery store. Arby's even beats it! Her fries were VERY good, but didn't make up for the $10 cost of her meal. The onion loaf was also only OK. The bottom of it was still doughy. We would have been better off going to Outback... AGAIN!

Joey D.'s food & atmosphere are great. I like the way the lighting is low, good for a romantic dinner. The bar is pretty neat too. Service has never failed me out of the 15 or so times I have been there. It's one of my favorites. The rolls that come with the salads will melt in your mouth!!!

Really Really Good.... Great Drinks and food, plus even got some T.V. for the sportsfan...
