Lobster Bar (The)
Located downstairs from Chops, one of the city's best steak houses, this single-minded restaurant is Atlanta's best at cooking up crustaceans. Proper attire is required in the formal dining room, but bibs are provided to protect your fancy duds. A nice menu of elegantly prepared seafood selections is available, but most come for king crab and the two- to six-pound lobsters. A fine wine list is available for your perusal, and if you're not in the mood for seafood, feel free to order from the Chops menu.
We dined there in October 2004, and since that time I have been anxiously awaiting a return to The Lobster Bar for dinner.
The food, ambiancea and service was excellent. Upon entering the restaurant, there was "electricity" and excitement that engulfed the entire dining and bar area. Can't say much about the "value" . . . it is expensive, but worth every penny. The wine list was also impressive.
This Lobster Bar is as fine as any restaurant anywhere in the USA. Overall, our experience was great, and we will be returning next week.
